There is no disputing that Delhiites love to eat. Good food accompanied by delicious drinks in a relaxed and chic atmosphere, are the best kind of pick-me-ups. I was recently invited to Shibuya Food & Bar for a special Sake Sunday Brunch, organized in collaboration with Hakutsuru Sake and Rad Elan distributors. This pan-Asian restaurant in Greater Kailash Part II Market, is known for its delicious food, lip-smacking cocktails and well-lit space. It was not my first time eating here, and it certainly won’t be my last. Read on to know 5 reasons why you must visit Shibuya Food & Bar in Delhi, as soon as you can!
- DELECTABLE FOOD THAT IS ALSO HEALTHY
Shibuya’s menu is a well-curated selection from a wide range of Asian cuisines. The sushi offerings are delightful and the dimsum menu rivals the best I have tried in Delhi. A main course which ranges from poke bowls to ramen, among other things, will leave you spoilt for choice. The Shibuya Toast as dessert is the piece de resistance- the signature dish!
The cuisine served at Shibuya is generally lower in calories than other cuisines. Though it does not market itself as a health café, it is certainly a healthier brunch option than most other buffet meals in Delhi.

- DELIGHTFUL SAKE
For the uninitiated, Sake is a Japanese alcoholic beverage made from fermented rice. It is usually served in small quantities, owing to its potency, and is sipped slowly. Sake is the perfect accompaniment to a Japanese meal. As with all things Japanese, a strict protocol surrounds it, such as waiting to be served the drink instead of serving yourself.
The guests at the Sunday brunch were offered two variants of Hakutsuru Sake- both distinct in flavor and deliciously smooth. Since its inception in 1743, Hakutsuru Sake has been the leading sake brand in Japan. It is now available in over 40 countries worldwide.
The Hakutsuru Junmai Draft Sake I tried, was strong and packed a punch, while the suave Toji-Kan Sake is named after its award-winning brewer.
I highly recommend trying the Hakutsuru Sake’s on offer at Shibuya Food & Bar, when you visit next.

- REASONABLE PRICE
For the quality and experience that Shibuya offers, the menu is indeed very reasonably priced. The Sunday Brunch, for example, includes all you can eat dishes at just INR 1650. If you prefer having brunch with drinks (select drinks), you just need to add INR 500 more to that price.

- GREAT LOCATION
Located in the Greater Kailash Part II market, Shibuya Food & Bar is in the heart of South Delhi. Parking space is easily available and it’s not too far from most places in Delhi-NCR. The two-floor seating is an added bonus. Enjoy some foot-tapping beats and live performances at the second floor, where the bar is located; or keep it all about the food in the first-floor seating.
- FAMILY-FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE
The owners of Shibuya Food & Bar, wanted to have a family-friendly place in conjunction with a party-place. As such, the first floor is a family space with ample lighting and spacious seating. A special kid’s menu will certainly appeal to children of all changes.
Have I sold you on paying a visit to Shibuya Food & Bar as yet?! Trust me, if you enjoy eating Asian food, this place is one that you have to try soon. Have you already been here? What was your experience? Did you enjoy it? Let me know in the comments section below!
