Anthology Announcement! Brave Inked Emotions: A Women’s Day Anthology Addressing a Range of Emotions

Posted by

Every year at this time, the chatter around Women’s Day drowns everything else. And for good reason. When for centuries women have been dealt the short end of the stick, it’s high time their issues are given prominence in daily discourse. I’ve never actively sought to celebrate or mark International Women’s Day in any particular manner, but being a woman, I do often get pulled into other projects that do.

The project this year is one that I’m particularly proud of. It’s an anthology titled ‘Brave Inked Emotions’, penned by women writers and edited by Roma Gupta Sinha, on their unique emotional struggles across a range of situations. The subjects chosen are relatable and the experienced authors have presented their points of view from a very genuine space.

My own piece titled “How I Deal with Emotional Turmoil” is a raw and candid look at my own journey through life. I examine in detail my insecurities, issues that cause emotional flare-ups, and then I share the method for how I tackle my emotional turmoil. I am no expert, and neither perhaps are my fellow authors in this anthology. However, sometimes the best advice comes from the most real and relatable sources. Hence, I hope my thoughts and the others penned in this anthology will help our readers with their own emotional struggles.

Interestingly, while I wrote my piece from a very generic point of view, a number of chapters address specific emotional hurdles or situations. These include the struggle of dealing with one’s in-laws, children, friendships and more. The stories cover a gamut of emotions that will surely ring true in some way for every person.

It is for this reason, and also to show support to women writers, that I request you to order your own copy to read. A link to buy the physical copy is here and the e-book will be out soon here.

Once you have ordered and read the book, do share your feedback with us. Also, do share the book with others – we are sure it will resonate with everyone.
