Honest Review of Maharishi Ayurveda Organic Ayurvedic Teas

Posted by

There are few things better than unwinding with a strong, hot cup of tea, after a long and strenuous day. While Indian chai definitely hits the spot in some situations, for the purposes of health and wellness, herbal Ayurvedic teas like green tea, ginger tea and herbal tea, remain unmatched. So, I was most excited about reviewing Maharishi Ayurveda Organic Ayurvedic Teas, when I was sent the gift pack last month. In this festive box perfect for gifting, are six mini-boxes of different teas and brews โ€“ all variations of green tea, ginger tea and herbal tea. Having tried them all at leisure, Iโ€™m here to share my honest review of Maharishi Ayurveda Organic Ayurvedic Teas.

Before I dive into my review, however, Iโ€™d like to share that everyone drinking these teas is encouraged to take an online quiz on the Maharishi Ayurveda website to determine their dosha. This helps one identify their peculiar problems and allows them to be addressed individually.

Honest Review of Maharishi Ayurveda Organic Ayurvedic Teas

Maharishi Ayurveda Organic Ayurvedic Teas:

Of the many products sold by the Maharishi Ayurveda brand, their organic Ayurvedic teas and herbal infusions are perhaps the most popular โ€“ after all, there are many advantages of making tea. Wondering how to make the tea? These teas are made using authentic Ayurvedic herbs like Tulsi, ginger, chamomile, fennel and Brahmi, and just need to be brewed in hot water by dunking the tea bag in. They offer a plethora of wellness benefits like improved immunity, digestion, stress relief and more restful sleep. It aims to be gentle, holistic care that restores balance and vitality to the system.

The teas and infusions are 100% certified organic and based on the formulations of traditional Ayurvedic Vaidyas. The products contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and are gluten-free.

Review of Maharishi Ayurveda Organic Ayurvedic Teas:

Iโ€™m sure after learning about the offerings of Maharishi Ayurveda, you have many questions such as โ€“ does green tea contain caffeine? Is tea good for health? Which green tea is best for weight loss? When to drink green tea? Can we drink green tea on an empty stomach? The first step in answering these questions is choosing the right tea for your body and health is taking the quiz and determining your dosha.

However, before I took the quiz, I had already tried the Pitta Soothe Tea. Its mildly sweet warmth made for a lovely pre-bedtime drink. After doing the quiz, however, I learnt that Iโ€™m a Kapha, so I began drinking the Kapha Energise variant of the organic Ayurvedic teas. Fortunately, all these teas serve a different purpose โ€“ so you donโ€™t have to restrict yourself to the tea correlating to your own dosha. Just look at the time of day or night and choose your drink according to your needs.

The teas come in individual tea bags, with 20 tea bags to a box. The packaging is vibrant, colourful and attractive. Each tea is packaged with a different colour making it easy to identify. Most importantly, the teas are delicious. They offer a natural sweetness (with no sugar) that is quite different from many other herbal infusions on the market, which tend to leave a bitter aftertaste.

In the five weeks that I have been drinking these teas on a daily basis, I have noticed a difference in my mood and overall health. Though I work out regularly and for most of last month, had also cut out sugar from my diet; I feel the teas also contributed to my improved health. They aided my digestion, cleared out my skin and improved my immunity against the seasonal winter cold and flu.

Iโ€™m very happy with my Maharishi Ayurveda Organic Ayurvedic Teas so far and once I have been through this set, I will most certainly repurchase them.
