I am amazed at the speed of deliveries these days…whether it is Instamart, Blinkit, Zepto, BB now or Amazon. Amazon has same day deliveries of many products but in a time frame but the others deliver in 10 minutes. The ease of comfort is crazy. No driving around, no fuel, no traversing traffic. I start cooking and I order something, its there within ten minutes. Now these apps are also selling gift items, imitation jewellery, household stuff and even silver and gold coins during festivals.Looking at the size of our population, it is insane the way these apps are catering so fast.

I feel one should be prepared for a month’s ration, barring the daily perishable consumables such as veggies, milk. For me, the online deliveries are only about absolute emergencies and all your tips are really sensible. We use Blinkit for immediate services and Amazon for anything longer delivery time.

I stay in a coastal town and there is not swiggy or instamart here yet but I use it when in Pune at my parents place. It does help with 1 day delivery but yes like you mentioned the route and time differs and could be EOD or next day morning too, so the frustation is real. I love to use it for convenience but the magic of offline shopping is unmatched.

When it comes about Grocery shopping, I prefer instamart, and if some items are not available there i will either wait if not urgent or choose the unavailable items from other apps. I’m enjoying the benefits of same-day delivery and express delivery as long as I am in Delhi. Most places in India don’t have these luxuries. I often resort to Blinkit for absolute emergencies, like, when I need something for the food that I am cooking, or something for my baby.

This shopping apps made life simple, they are becoming rich just by saving our time. So very well it is making us understand how precious and important is time and we should value it. last minute birthday invitations of society kids …. buying gifts is now stress free. It is also making us idel too in many cases as we dont want to make our body move although we have time. Technology comes with both pros and cons.
