The Superheroes of

Has it been a while since you began your blogging journey? Are you still languishing somewhere in the middle of mind-blowing fame and complete digital anonymity? Do you still hesitate to take steps to increase your blog reach and make it into a profitable career? Trust me, until quite recently, I was in the same position. Though I had made a name for myself in the Indian blogging community, I was unable to crack that lucrative and out-of-reach ‘inner circle’ of bloggers that earns significant amounts through their blogs. In 2020, things took a turn when I began to research and implement some much-needed changes. I have now identified the top ‘super-heroes of blogging’ that gave my content creation journey a much-needed boost and took it to the next level. These are the tools and services that allowed me to correctly streamline and monetise my content, while ensuring the journey stayed enjoyable and easy throughout.

Read on to know my list of superheroes of blogging which can help you too:

  1. SUPERMAN OF SELF-HOSTING

If you want to be a successful blogger, it is absolutely essential to blog on a self-hosted website. You begin to rank on Google only when you have a decent Domain Authority number, which requires you to be the owner of your domain name. I was prudent enough to be self-hosted from the beginning of my blogging journey, and I’m always surprised to find many old-time bloggers still sitting on the fence about self-hosted websites!

Bluehost is a good place to start if you’re looking for great back-end technological support along with a free year of owning your domain name. There are many plans to choose from, be wise about your choice.

Hostinger is another popular self-hosting platform that is best known for its super-fast loading time. It offers a good tech-support team as well as more competitive pricing for their plans, however, the storage is limited in comparison to Bluehost.

  1. BATMAN OF BACK-END PROBLEMS

If you’re anything like me, you probably find technological issues quite challenging too. Many of us aren’t trained to work on digital media platforms and are unaware of the ensuing technological back-end work. To make a success of your blog, it’s important to dedicate time and effort so that your website runs smoothly. The correct plugins need to be installed to optimise performance which calls for immense research.

If you’re not a tech-wiz, the best solution is to outsource the setting up of your website to an experienced technological person, who can deal with your problems in case you face any.

The folks at Blogger Studio helped me and some of my fellow blogger friends from set-up to settling in! Use code BLOGGERNOOR at checkout for a hefty discount on their services 🙂

  1. CATWOMAN OF CAPTIVATING IMAGES

We all know that content is king, but it has now become important to offer different kinds of content as a complete and attractive package to our readers. Blog posts with simple text no longer have the desired impact. Readers appreciate simple and effective visuals to accompany the text. Good visuals also ensure a higher click-through rate when you are advertising your post on social media and elsewhere.

Canva is a great platform that allows you to create free images, however, I believe their Pro Membership is a handy tool for bloggers at any stage of their blogging journey. It allows you to create blog-related visuals as well as professional presentations, social media posts, media kits and click-worthy thumbnails, along with giving you unlimited storage with access to over 40,000 + designs.

  1. NINJA OF NOTABLE NEWSLETTERS

Once you’ve worked on building great content in volume and quality, it’s time to build a dedicated readership that visits your posts every time you upload them. This is best achieved by creating a strong email marketing list, and making attractive and compelling newsletters that periodically alert people about the new content you have created.

My choice for email marketing is AWeber, which simplifies the entire process of email marketing. It offers great technical support and you can begin for free before moving on to higher and more effective plans!

Apart from these multi-tasking super-hero services, these additional tools help me loads! Here is what I recommend:

  1. iPhone 11 for kick-ass photos and videos
  2. MacBook Air to sync my Notes and Pictures from their corresponding versions on my phone
  3. The Notes and Calendar App, which allow me to stay organised and stick to timelines
  4. Keywords Everywhere, a free bowser add-on for Google, suggests similar high-ranking keywords and allows you to choose one that works best

    1. Hi there, thanks for stopping by! Blogspot is a free domain website, which means you don’t own it. I’d recommend switching to WordPress or any other platform and then picking BlueHost or HostGator to set up your own website, if you’d like to be ranked on Google and earn money through sponsored posts and affiliate marketing. Feel free to get in touch with me if you’d like to learn a little more on the subject!
