It’s that time of the year again, when bloggers from around the world convene and connect with each other. In case you have no idea what I’m talking about – the month of April heralds the international blogging challenge called “A to Z Challenge” or Blogchatter’s “A2Z Challenge”.

In this month-long experience, every participant must post a blog every single day barring Sundays, and each post must have a letter from the alphabet in its title, corresponding to the day it’s published on.

Last year, I participated in this intense program for the first time. I learnt a lot and made many friends in the community which further accelerated my blog’s growth, but I also took myself and the challenge way too seriously! The idea behind A to Z is twofold- to get you to blog regularly, and to get your creative juices flowing. The healthy traffic to your blog is an added bonus.

This year, instead of pulling my hair out planning a theme, along with writing and designing creatives for posts beforehand, I’ve decided to just go with the flow. The theme I’ve chosen is the most flexible one I could think of. It also fortuitously aligned with something I’ve been doing on Instagram for the last two weeks.

If you’re not already following me there, now would be a good time to hop on over- I’m @theladylawyer.

After a wonderful trip to Rajasthan with my family earlier this month to celebrate my father’s 60th birthday, I returned to an atmosphere fraught with Covid-19 tension. As a responsible citizen, I decided to self-isolate upon my return, since we had shared space with many tourists and foreigners on the trip.

Not being one to just sit at home and get bored, I began filming short videos for Instagram stories every single day, where I present a “daily update”. A week into my own self-isolation, Delhi announced a complete lockdown, and two days later, so did the rest of the country.

Without rambling further, let me get to the point. The coronavirus and consequent lockdown currently rule our lives and there is no escaping them, so my theme is the hashtag that I’ve been using for my daily updates on Instagram- “#LockdownWithTheLadyLawyer.”

Every day in the month of April, I will write a diary-like entry of my thoughts and experiences during lockdown. I will also share a TV show/ movie recommendation, a tip to beat lockdown blues and a blogger recommendation for you to follow.

The idea is to stay connected while staying apart- that’s something us bloggers already excel at, no?

So, I look forward to seeing you all in my comments section and I’m excited to read your wonderful themes and entries for A to Z challenge.

In case you’re wondering what I’m going to write when the lockdown ends as planned on April 14, I honestly don’t know! But I’m not stressing about that either- the diary shall continue as will the daily recommendations.

Alright guys, see you on April 1 with a totally candid glimpse into my thoughts. Adios and good luck!

P.S: Each entry will be written the day before it’s published.

P.P.S: I’m going to attempt an alliterative title every day, like I did last year, but it’s a tough task and I can’t guarantee it for every single alphabet!
